John McAfee’s Video Conference from the Guatemalan Detention Center

December 10, 2012 // Arrested, Guatemala, Innocent, John McAfee

They had been hyping this video conference for a while on whoismcafee. The posts and comments have all been removed from John’s blog, and the original raw video from¬†urecommendmedia¬†has also now been removed.

Who knows what is going on with the videos? … they are now posting some of the footage to John’s blog … how long they will be there is anyone’s guess.

On the longer video that has since been removed, John declares his innocence in the murder of Gregory Faull and describes how the Government and the GSU are out to get him. He says that his life is in grave danger and he will be violently executed if he is returned to Belize. Mr. McAfee also sends an open invitation to Prime Minister Barrow, asking to meet with him to discuss their indifferences and mentions that maybe Barrow does not know how corrupt his country is.

Even though John had wrote on his blog that Belize was his home and he would not leave, he wrote that he would fight corruption not just for himself but for all the people of Belize. That does not seem to be true after John now says in the video his intention was to leave Belize all along and try to make it back to the USA. He knows the only way he could go back to Belize, is if the whole government was completely overhauled … and that is not likely to happen any time soon.

He says they cannot move him for at least 30 days and would prefer they deport him to either the USA or the UK … anywhere but Belize.

The New York Times is running an article written by, who else? … none other than Jeff Wise, titled¬†In Pursuit of McAfee, Media Are Part of Story.

  1. Why did they remove all the posts and comments about this from johns blog?

  2. Anytime I’ve tried to comment on that there, no matter how nicely, my comment winds up not getting posted. Clearly they don’t want to talk about THAT. Shady….
