BREAKING NEWSJohn McAfee has been given a chance to have his request to remain in Guatemala heard … the process could take anywhere from 1 to 3 months.

Rueters UK is reporting that during a telephone call they had with John McAfee from detention … John is quoted as wanting to return to the USA.

“I wish I could just pack my bags and go to Miami,” McAfee said. “I don’t think I fully understood the political situation. I’m an embarrassment to the Guatemalan government and I’m jeopardizing their relationship with Belize.”

whoismcafee.com is now releasing the evidence John has gathered outlining his precarious situation.

I believe what sent John McAfee to hospital yesterday was extreme anxiety over what his future holds. The situation he has found himself in must be over the top terrifying, knowing that if he is handed over to the Belizean authorities, they will most likely make him pay for the embarrassment his media campaign against them has caused.

Unfortunately, the penalty John McAfee may ultimately pay for his run to freedom? … serving a life sentence for Gregory Faull’s murder. When, truth be told … it was really John McAfee they meant to execute the night of Nov. 10th.

I am not trying to end this story on a sour note for John McAfee … I am hoping true justice will be served for Mr. Faull’s murder, and John gets to move on with his life.

Sorry for the sad post folks … I am still very much holding hope that John will be OK and find safety … because, I just don’t think John McAfee has killed anyone.

Back on Nov. 24th John posted about the Interview he gave while in hiding to Adam Thomson of The Financial Times. Well, Adam has finally released his interesting story called Four hours with John McAfee. Personally, I don’t think it does much to help John’s situation … more of a little story about how he secretly met up with John McAfee while on the run … at least Adam didn’t try to Rat John out.

There is another positive article written today by WorldMeets.us titled In John McAfee, Prime Minister Barrow may have ‘Met His Match’

We are not sure what is going on yet, The Daily Mail is reporting that John has been transferred to a prison hospital with heart attack symptoms, it has also been posted on John’s blog … we are hoping this is not too serious, and maybe just exhaustion.

Update – The Daily Mail is now reporting that John McAfee has not suffered a heart attack and he has been returned to detention awaiting his pending deportation.

After hearing the devastating news that his bid for political asylum had been rejected, John McAfee told The Associated Press that he had suffered chest pains overnight but didn’t believe he had suffered a heart attack. A government doctor who examined him agreed, saying McAfee’s heart rhythm and blood pressure were normal, and that he appeared to be suffering from high stress.

Well, it looks like VICE Magazine got the Big Story after all …

Two days ago I posted the question did VICE.com setup John McAfee to be caught? The reason I have this thinking is, both CNN and VICE are not chasing the story of corruption in Belize, they are gunning for the Big Story of John’s capture on film. The Belize corruption story is a long drawn out procedure that has no interest to their target audience. Short, big breaking stories like John McAfee or stints in Syria are the blockbuster stuff main stream media likes to report on. John McAfee secretly making it into Guatemala safely, applying for asylum, and going on with his life is no story.

Leaking the EXIF data by a firm like VICE Magazine just does not make sense to me. Robert King is a world class journalist that has earned my respect, however to let that data be uploaded online looks very suspect as it would not just lead to the big story, but it leads to the only story worth going to Guatemala for … the arrest live on film.

I have also noticed the pissy attitude Martin Savidge of CNN seems to be taking about John’s story now. He is chirping about his lost iPhone and laptop, when in reality, he was probably trying to do the same thing as VICE did and use the lost iPhone as the excuse for leaking John’s location. I bet his crew was also prepared to film an arrest.

The story for MSM is not Mr. Faull’s death or about the corruption in Belize … the corruption story has been going on for many years and nobody is touching it.

I haven’t posted much of Vice’s stuff yet because I am waiting to see how they will write the story. However, here is the VICE footage of John McAfee being arrested (probably not as dramatic as they had hoped for) … later I might follow up with a post about VICE Magazine and maybe my opinion will change, however … my guess is they have already said That’s a Wrap and moved on.

And from John’s blog, as strange as it sounds … John McAfee is Blogging from Jail.

UPDATE – Chad  just posted this to John’s blog … Urgent from John.

I am not sure why Jeff Wise has been hell bent on destroying John McAfee … today on his blog the heading reads John McAfee, Captured, Faces Life in Belize Prison.

and Wired.com is running their latest story with the heading … How Trusting in Vice Led to John McAfee’s Downfall.

Well, unless they sent Bart and Homer Simpson along to manage the security of John’s whereabouts, I can’t help but wonder, did VICE Magazine deliberately release the EXIF data hoping to catch the big story of John’s capture? One thing that jumped out from their story yesterday with the EXIF data on the photo was when they wrote “Rocco and Robert will continue to follow John until the conclusion of his journey” – Was the conclusion supposed to be John’s capture and the EXIF data leak part of the sequence? We are still waiting to hear officially what John’s interview with VICE editor-in-chief Rocco Castoro is going to be like. These guys from VICE.com are supposed to be a big league website, however, I have to question their choice of heading to break the story, We are with John McAfee right now, Suckers … it sounds a bit immature, and their earlier article on John is also not very flattering. Either they tried to get John caught by purposely releasing the EXIF or they were extremely lucky not to have been killed in Syria while leaving a trail of data across an active war zone. For now it seems they get a pass on this blunder (what choice did John have after the leak), but seriously … how does a magazine like VICE upload that data?

Yesterday John was apologizing on his blog to VICE Magazine for manipulating the EXIF data on the story photo. I am not really sure what is going on here because they have REMOVED the whole apology post and hundreds of comments that were posted to his blog. He has now admitted the real EXIF data was released by an unseasoned technician at VICE. Today he is now posting on his blog that he and Sam are indeed in Guatemala. I am sure John has since left the area of Rio Dulce revealed on the EXIF data. However, he should also ditch these dudes from VICE … they are going to get him killed … I hope John sees what I see in this VICE Job … forgetting to remove that EXIF data is not likely, because even Homer Simpson would have removed it.

Monday Dec. 3 – The twin McAfee haters Gizmodo.com and Wired.com are now reporting that VICE left data on the photo and are giddy like school kids, hoping John gets caught. … going with my hunch again … I’m not buying into any of this shit.

Today Tues. Dec. 4, 2012 – VICE Magazine is reporting that John has hired top notch Guatemalan lawyer and former Attorney General Telésforo Guerra. This man has an excellent reputation and just happens to be Sam’s uncle. With that being said … I still think it is a good idea for John to go even deeper into hiding and lose all these media hounds that are only looking to break the story of John McAfee’s capture.

Well after a tough 3 weeks, things are looking better for John McAfee … below is a screen shot from his latest post The New Fight. … good luck John and get some rest.

Update Dec. 4, 2012 – This post we wrote about with links to John’s blog is still here, however everything has been removed from his blog and now the links are leading to page cannot be found. They deleted three complete posts and all the comments?

We are pretty sure this was a premeditated ploy on John’s part … if it was, it sure worked like a charm. There was an unconfirmed report from whoismcafee called Breaking – John Captured that he had been captured near the Mexican/Belize border. When in fact it was merely a double who was nabbed, allowing John and Sam to slip out of the country undetected.

My hunch told me John was making a move to somewhere safe … and this is just fantastic news to hear they are not in Belize anymore.

Sat. Dec. 1, 2012 – latest news … John McAfee has NOT been captured.

Sun. Dec. 2, 2012 – Chad just posted on his Twitter account that an article appearing today in The New York Times has crashed John’s blog. Gotta love New York 🙂

Mon. Dec. 3, 2012 – Brian Fitzgerald posts this Message to the Media.

Mon. Dec. 3, 2012  – Breaking News … John has posted to his blog I am Safe.

I have to admit, this story is mind boggling and getting bigger by the day … John McAfee has posted the below letter on his blog. When I first read the letter, I immediately wondered who Swon was and who the murdered Espat kids were. The two murdered Espat kids mentioned in the letter are cousins Charlie Espat and Eduardo Daniel Alamilla. The author of the letter seems to refer to either Eric Swan (a local gangster) who was once  shot by the Belize Police, or his close criminal cousin James ‘Raindrops’ Swan who was killed in a targeted hit just this past August.

It is too bad John McAfee did not reveal this information when it was actually happening and arranged to leave Belize for his own safety. It was the logical time to unearth the corruption and get the hell out of there. Unfortunately, Gregory Faull has now been murdered … and confirming that the letter was written before his murder is not going to be easy. Even though John says he hired an investigator to determine the author … the letter was purposely written to disguise the actual author’s handwriting … certain individual letters are purposely written to look different.

I know everyone wants to read John McAfee’s side of the story written in his own words … well, he just started an official blog  for that exact purpose today. You can listen to John McAfee declare his innocence in his own words.

I could not believe it when I came across John’s blog whoismcafee … as many already know I am writing this story not just because of how big it is … I also believe John McAfee is innocent and has not killed anyone … stay tuned for updates.

Tues. Nov. 20, 2012 … looks like John’s blog has picked up a fair amount of exposure. The story is now being reported by some major news sources such as CNN, the story is also run by Fox News, not to mention TIME, and across the pond at the BBC.

Tues. Nov. 27, 2012 – John McAfee Talks to Alex Jones and then later in the day he appears on The Joe Rogan Experience.

Fri. Nov. 30, 2012 – Wired writes an article about animation artist Chad Essley and his upcoming novel The HINTERLAND.

John appears live on CNBC … and his first CNBC Interview from Nov. 16th is HERE.

Dec. 1, 2012 – CNN travels into the jungle and meets face to face with John McAfee.

This guy who posted the below comment on John’s blog has an interesting take on life in Belize and offers some woulda, shoulda, coulda advice to John McAfee. He mentions that he was in a similar situation as John … all I can say is WOW!

BELOW IS COPIED STRAIGHT FROM JOHN’S BLOG:

Hi John,

I have been reading about your plight and asked Karen if I could get your email address to try to give you my point of view. I lived in Belize for 12 years, full time, with no other gringos around, and built a resort on an isolated island in the middle of the ocean without much help, so maybe you should listen to some of my advice for you. First of all, you are misinterpreting Belize. Nobody wants to kill you. You are worth more to everyone alive than dead. Belizean politicians are all money hungry and that is what they want. You made a huge mistake when you came to Belize by not laying low and being very low key. You gave away a bunch of money to the Coast Guard, bought police supplies, etc. and that is translated into their language as a guilty person, probably a narcotrafficker, trying to buy them off. It would have been perfect if you were a narcotrafficker and they would have let you keep doing that if you were and they would even have helped you in any way that they could. But you confused the issue by NOT giving to the party in power and then opening up your lab in the jungle and hiring gangsters to give you security. That sent very conflicting signals to them. They saw you as a narcotrafficker who was setting up shop right in front of their eyes and who did not want to play by the rules. They had to nail you at that point because you had paid them off before but were no longer paying them off, and you were definitely looking very suspicious to them.

Belizeans do not understand the concept of innocence. We are all guilty of something and they are less hypocritical about things than you are. They go straight to the heart of the matter and get down to business. If it walks like a duck and quacks like one, then it must be one. So you got the reputation right off the bat and then tried to pull a fast one in their mind by not paying off properly. In the US you had to pay off the IRS and lots of lawyers all the time just to stay safe. In Belize you will have to pay off two or three high ranking politicians and you can bargain with them. That is the beauty of Belize. If you come into the scene with lots of money and act rich, they will make you pay. What you actually should have done when you got to Belize is tell them that you wanted a bunch of government land titled over to you and also that you were going to be setting up a drug lab and that you needed protection. THEN hand over the money to them for their Coast Guard and police AFTER they give you something, Right off the bat they took you for a pendejo because you did not ask for anything in return. Then they figured that you got ballsy with them by setting things up on your own and not asking them for help and not paying them. That is the psychology of Belize, my friend.

The other thing that I would like to point out is that 30-40% of Belizean males smoke marijuana regularly and possibly 5-10% smoke rock cocaine regularly. The system is in place so that the marijuana grows down in Punta Gorda area and comes in imported from Peten, Guatemala and the coke comes from Colombian boats passing product through Belize to Mexico. This system benefits the country tremendously because it brings lots of cash to the country that would otherwise not be there. The drugs corridor of Belize is untouchable by both political parties and big players work and live in Belize and are full blooded Belizeans. In a way, they are the folk heroes of Belize, who every Belizean looks up to and wants to be like. How could you have confused everything out of all proportion by going against the entire culture? You are a guest in their country, John, and you must be brought to your senses. They are not going to get a paycheck from you to not sell drugs or to not do shady deals all their lives. You will come and go like the wind, but the drugs corridor has been paying off for almost 40 years now. Stop acting like a deranged republican and get with the program.

Lastly, your ways out are few now. I think your girlfriend hit the other gringo or, most likely, one of your bodyguards who was a gang banger probably did it thinking it would impress you and get you to pay him extra. That happened to me once out on the caye when we were building the resort. I had gotten into an argument with one of the workers and demoted him and he was going behind my back saying stupid things. So, while I was not on island, another worker decided to kill him, chop up his body with a machete, and burn the body to ashes. When I got back, I was told that he had gotten rid of the problem and I was showed the ashes. The dead worker was definitely dead and I was in a big problem because this guy was trying to extort me, saying that I had wanted it done. I got rid of him and kept to the shadows for a while and he eventually had to take off back to Honduras when the heat fell on him, but I will never forget his thought process and how much it resembles what may be happening to you.

But to get to the point, your two ways out that I can see are: 1. I have a friend with an ultralight who would fly it to a bush runway for you and he might let you take off to Guatemala in it if you wished and if he were properly reimbursed (reasonable, nothing extravagent). 2. I have another friend who is the brother to the current Minister of National Security and who can talk to his brother about terms for you to surrender. They will want money and so will the prime minister but as long as it was done properly, they would put you under their protection and make sure that no harm came to you. Then it would just be a matter of getting you a good lawyer (I would recommend Barrow’s ex-wife who takes all the high profile cases) and you would be out fairly quickly. I do not know how much the main players want. It probably depends on if you set up offshore trusts in Belize or some offshore accounts there that could be traced back to you. If you did that, then you can be sure that Barrow knows about them and how much you have and that number will be the upper limit where they start their negotiations from. You can bargain from there, but they have all the advantages over you in that process.

So, if you need any more advice or you actually do need some help in resolving your issues, feel free to contact me. I am not in any way associated with the Belizean government and I could not care less if they are all after you. It is a pirate’s game and you are in check right now and about to be checkmated. If you want to save your queen, then you need to shift your strategy. Reread The Art Of War and put things into the context of your current position. I do not mind being an ally in this, but I will want some publishing rights or something of that nature in the future if things work out for you in the future.

Best wishes

Steven Wilkins

These people have not been charged with the murder of Gregory Faull, however the Belize police detained 29 year-old bodyguard William Mulligan and 22 year-old Stefanie Mulligan, they were arrested and charged for kept firearm and ammunition without a gun license. They were living at John McAfee’s estate.

Sun Nov. 18, 2012 – The full list of John McAfee’s friends and staff who have been arrested is posted on John’s official blog.

Three of John’s friends are still being held in prison on trumped up charges.

Eddie Ancona

Cassian  Chavarria

William Mulligan

They were charged and have been imprisoned because three legally licensed firearms were found in the incorrect rooms on his property (stretching the law to the extreme).  John would like you to please email and demand their release:
